.Well if you can't travel the world at least Blu's gnome, Rico can! Rico had the the opportunity to fly to Cartagena, Colombia with Dave Strydom from Topeka, Kansas this past weekend to photograph a wedding. If you haven't seen Dave's work check out www.2become1studio.com.
I just can't believe how amazing Dave is! Click on images to make them BIG
A little about La Popa: On the boats that approached Cartagena, sailors would point to the hill that stands beside the city and said it resembled a ship's stern (popa); therefore, the name of the hill on whose crest the Devoted Barefoot congregation of the Order of Saint Augustine began to erect a convent in 1606. During the War of Independence and the civil wars of the XIXth century, it fell into the misfortune becoming military quarters until Rafael Nunez ordered its recovery. By then, the monks had gone and there was no one to illuminate the lighthouse that was once a beacon for travelers and marines.
HI Kailee!
i am traveling to a few cool places this summer for my weddings! I would be happy to share the experience with Rico if he would want to join us in sunny Puerto Rico! or maybe he would want to visit the Green Giant in Boston over the summer! As long as he packs light he's welcome to join!
Also, I am having a slight admin emergency with my site building, can someone contact me just as soon as they are able? alea@aleamoore.com
Thanks so much!
