. Modern 7- Jinky Art launches. Blu had the honor of meeting the talented Barb Uil in Las Vegas.  All the way from Australia!

I can personally say that she has admirers from around the world. My inbox is consistently filled with "Jinky Art" fans.

With an understated style that makes an extremely poignant statement her work is true to life and magical. Her simplistic yet potent branding is world renowned and has secured her as one of the most recognizable entities in the photography industry. We were honored to work with her and share in her vision of Modern 7- Jinky Art.

Why I do what I do- coz becoz! Its fun?! =)

Where I get my inspiration from- ooh im so boring..  I get inspiration from hanging out with kids!

The age I started taking photographs- I had a little red tomatoe camera when I was 6, and a crappy slr when I was 26, but really not till a few years ago.

At the end of the day- honesty and doing things for love is all that matters.

What I want people to remember me for-  something cheeky! something for others.

My favorite client- ooh photographers, I love photographing photographers. It turns into a blended creation.

My favorite piece of equipment- 24-70mm.

What I need-  a hug.

Something I have learned along the way-  kids have imaginations larger then life- we just have to be there get capture it.

The biggest mistake you can make in this profession- putting greed before love.

What I had for breakfast-  a party of two jumping on my head asking where their breakfast is.

A tip that I can share- put the camera down and enjoy every single moment.

The hardest part of owning my own business- business is the hardest part, I am terrible at business.

I want my images to portray-  what is worth remembering.

Something I have a lot of-  unused film.

BluDomain Apology

We would like to apology to everyone for our slow response times this past week. Losing our main email data has been disastrous. We have no emails so we are relying heavily on everyone to resend anything that has not been responded to.  We are back in Colorado and will be sending our main computer to a data recovery specialist in California today.

All we can do now is take a few deep breathes and move forward. Thank you for your patience, losing everything is devastating and leaves you feeling empty. The Las Vegas trip while amazing was also very disastrous.

Give us the weekend to get everyone back on track. We totally understand your frustration.

BluDomain Launches 5 New Sites- 2 Unveiled After [b]ecker's party tonight

Emergency News- Let's quash the rumors. I really am not a fan of gossip or rumors. The rumor- BluDomain is having major issues with servers. No one's emails are working and haven't been for 2 days. The truth- BluDomain is having personal email issues. BluDomain's main computer with our [email protected] & [email protected] and [email protected] emails from months just disappeared. The folders, emails, sent items, everything just gone. We are working to retrieve the data however it is VERY possible that it's gone.

If that's the case then we start fresh and we ask that you send us any requests to go live, any recent edits not completed, any Welcome to BluDomain emails since Friday.  The contests (all 10 of them) are gone so we ask that you resend those also.

. At this point we are all lucky that they make plenty of visine. A little time line: BluDomain gets bumped off their flight. Blu team members do not make standby on the next 4 flights. BluDomain is told all members must travel singly. Frontier AIrlines lose luggage (nothing recovered or found at this point)  Paris hotel where BluDomain has booked the hotel for over 6 months oversells the rooms and Blu must settle with 1 room versus 6 rooms for 2 nights. Blu shares one king bed. Blu on tight deadlines and Paris has no wi-fi. Blu must rotate the wall connection for 2 nights. Remember Blu works only on computers and has URGENT deadlines and must work together as a team at night. Blu's main computer has a disk full error, we remove images and then the Entourage mail disappears with all of our emails. folders. crucial stuff and has yet to be found.

Blu has Shindig on Monday with famous photographers around the world competing in a bowl-off and one bowling lane decides to stop working. Time ticks on and Blu starts to sweat.

Alas the ANGELS fly by and the bowling lane starts flashing, the music starts pumping, conversation is flying, cocktails are being ordered, creative people are taking photos in the Photo Booth, girls are gettting tattoos in random places, pool table match going on, food going fast and the Blu Shindig gets the party on.

. We had so much fun at Blu Shindig. Party lasted until 4:30 am and I somehow ended up playing craps with my "new" photographer friends downstairs at the Palms. I have to say that there are some HOT male photographers.

I will have to say that Blu had the HOTTEST shindig last night.

. Meet the adorable Whitney who graciously tended to running the bowl off last night. Everyone kept thinking Whitney resembled me. She made the bowlers very happy.

I finally met the adorable Lauren Hillary. I feel like she is the "famous" Lauren Hillary because

I was dying to meet her; via emails we are like best buds. This girl knows how to have some fun!

. Mr. Zahari did some headstands last night in the Photo Booth. It was hiliarious. See the photos tonight.

BluDomain Sets Up Booth 1321 Today

. Booth 1321 set up is taking place. Team dinner at N9ne Steakhouse to celebrate something tonight. Bashes tonight at the Bellagio Penthouses. Several photographers having soirees.

.I'm leaving to NY from Denver for the NY Times interview and then to Las Vegas. Maybe I will get there this time. Me, Marla & Daniel all were re booked for today due to Frontier fiasco. The final Blu members will all arrive Las Vegas tonight around 6 pm.

.Hotel Paris overbooks the hotel - 43 people without rooms last night due to late check-ins even though they had reservations. Luckily genius flash programmer Jen made the first flight yesterday. The entire Blu team holed up in one hotel room for a fun night of Rotation Sleeping. Each person had 2 hours to snooze. The final bad news- the hotel doesn't believe in Wi-Fi connections and has no technology to allow for 2 internet connections so each of us had 1.5 hours to finish preparations.

Whew all you can do is laugh. At least we have some true BLU adventures!

. Paul & Kim Cousins out mosing around the Paris Hotel. Rumor has it that Kim just won a big Photograph contest. Stay tuned.

1/2 of BluDomain Finally Arrives

. the worst day EVER in DIA history. Our flights booked to leave at 10 this morning and Frontier drops the ball. Lines due to Spring Break leave everyone missing flights and yada yada.

. One team member per flight and the first Blu members arrived Las Vegas tonight at 10 pm only to find out their luggage is MISSING. More team members trying to catch last flights out tonight. Frontier Airlines and United have confirmed all seats are SOLD OUT tomorrow. Frontier representatives have been AOL all day long. And customers irrate. Pray we all make it to Las Vegas by Monday!

. I think Blu should not travel as a team anymore. Think back to Blizzard 2006 that left our whole team stranded in California.

.Okay tomorrow I will post NEW images and what's going down in Las Vegas.

And no worries if the remainder of us don't make flights tonight - we are driving at 2am to Las Vegas. Woo-hoo road trip.

BluDomain Is Giving Away 10 FREE Websites and each winner also gets a surprise from one of my famous websites on Tuesday March 27th.

Why? Because it's Customer Appreciation Week.  March 26th through March 28th.

How do I win? By entering one of our contests.

Do I have to be a Blu customer? No we love and welcome everyone.

How many contests can I enter? You can enter as many as you would like. However you can only win one.

Contest A -  Send us a photo of you holding a sign that answers this question "Why I do what I do?" 

Contest B-  We want a picture of the "inside" of your refrigerator. Make sure there is lots for us to see! You must send in a self portrait also. Two pictures must be sent in for this contest.

Contest C-  We want to know what kind of gum you chew! Send us a photo of you holding your favorite PACK of gum.  The brand must be visible.

Contest D- Take a photograph of someone over 21 holding a sign that says "what they do as an occupation" For example it could say "I cut hair for a living" or " I'm a technical engineer at Lowry Air Force Base"  The photo MUST be in black and white and the person can't be in the photography industry.

Contest E- Send us a photo of your kids (all of them) sitting on the hood of your car.

Contest F-  Bake a cake and on the cake in BLU frosting write your birthday. It must be written in numbers. Such as 9-22-67.  Send us your self portrait also.  Now this is a tough one because you have to bake but I'm here to challenge you! 

Contest G- I want to see you guys in a tee & jeans.  Or women find me a man and photograph him in a tee and jeans. (he can be your husband if need be)  He must be holding a sign with his FIRST name ONLY!

Contest H- Send us a self portrait of yourself must be in BLACK and WHITE and recent.

Contest I- We want to see your couch.  Take a photo of your couch ONLY!

. A few people leave to Las Vegas tomorrow. BluDomain will not be answering phones tomorrow. We have last minute preparations to finalize, and a lot of work to finish. We will be on line as usual.
