My name- Marisa Holmes
My style- Fun, Fresh and Beautiful! I have a commercial and art background so I like to bring them both in the mix when I shoot weddings.
Where I'm from- Orange County, CA
Why I do what I do- I love being behind the camera, it is so much fun it's hard to call it "work".
The piece of equipment I can't part with- I think it would have to be my 5D. I have it tricked out just the way I like it, if I pick up another digital camera I'm like what do all these buttons do?
The vendor you should know about- B & H Photo, Samy's Camera, Alpha Fotoworks, and Apple. They find a way to show up on my credit card statement every month.
If I had to have someone shoot a portrait of me it would be- Nigel Parry (www.nigelparryphoto.com) I have a few polariods he took of me when we are testing on set, but I have never been "the" subject.
When I'm bored you'll find me- Out and about looking for trouble.
A piece of advice that improved my photography- Just be yourself.

My friends think I'm - A silly and creative girl full of energy.
My first photograph sold for- I never sold it, but I think it won $25 in a photo contest back in high school. I still have it framed on my wall, it's a b&w print I did when I was 15.
I shop - Everywhere! Why limit yourself? I always find the greatest things in the least expected places.
A goal of mine- Balance in work and in play.
What I eat for breakfast - A bowl of cereal or old fashion oatmeal.
The part of my business that leaves me tired- Accounting. I just stayed up till 3:00am the other night catching up!
The perfect client is- One that trusts me enough to really push the envelope and get great pictures. These clients usually end up becoming good friends and my biggest "ravers".
The gum I chew- Cinnamon Orbitz. Every girl needs a little spice in her life!
My favorite software- If I gage it by time spent using the software, it has to be Photoshop. It's like a wormhole...you start editing one picture then before you know it it's 5 hours later and you didn't do all the things you were supposed to do.
Something I'm proud of- I live my life outside of the box.
On a Friday night at 8 PM you'll find me- Multi tasking...trying to finish up work because I got caught up in the wormhole and getting ready for a night on the town with the girls.

When is the photographer resource going to be complete? I'm looking for a list of any and all workshops being offered in my area & I thought I'd heard that the photographer resource would contain that info.
