Photographer of the Year 2006
** BluDomain has collected a years worth of data. Anytime someone mentioned another photographer in a "good way" we put a star next to their name. We finalized the list and it was obvious who other photographers admired, were inspired by, looked up to, and bragged about. Now just because you didn't make this years list doesn't mean you weren't on our "Stardom Map" The map was continuous and lit up our office, we used metallic stars. We had to cut the list and that is always hard however we are very happy with the results.
Now it's your turn to be inspired as I interviewed each one of them. Same interview different day. At the end.. you will VOTE BluDomain's 2006 Photographer of the Year. That photographer will win a $500.00 cash prize and more but most importantly the prestigious title of being Blu's Photographer of the Year 2006 and of course the trophy will be presented.

A piece of equipment that I could never part with.. I seem to be permanently attached to my 12" powerbook. In fact it's midnight and I'm lying in bed typing on it right now.
What advice do you have for photographers who are just getting started.. differentiate yourself from your competition as much as possible.
Something that is overrated ... megapixels
A helpful tip that has been useful.. stop and stretch once an hour

MODERN Gnome!
Okay I love these gnomes! So BluDomain is purchasing this must-have toy of the year. So graphically hip. The Gnome will travel the world. If you would like to have Blu's Gnome in your life for one week e-mail me at kailee@bludomain.com You will receive the gnome via UPS. Send me a daily image of Blu's Gnome in your daily activities. After a week you will ship him via UPS (in a crate we provide and pay for) to his next destination.
Update: This is going to be FUN, the gnome is already getting so many friends. Do you want to be his friend. He has been shipped from the UK in route to Colorado and then off too... (notice it's officially a "he") Name to be decided.
