3 things that I have with me on every shoot...  Nikon D200, "Get to know you" sheet-  I have all of my clients fill it out so I can tailor the shoot to what they are into, clothes I don't mind getting dirty in-- I get down on the ground for a lot of cool angles.

The hardest aspect of my job....  balancing being  a mom to 4 kids with my passion for photography

If not a photographear I would have been...  A stay at home mom with a bunch of hobbies on the side.

However, I love what I've ready about his perspective on the world.  (Hes not uber-famous but I love having dinner with my husband!)

My favorite piece of equipment...  My 70-200mm 2.8 IS

3 things I have with me on every shoot...  besides the necessities (camera, card, lenses) I always carry a light disk, a ST-E2 wireless flash transmitter, little plastic dinosaurs or rubber balls for the kids that I'm photographing.

The hardest aspect of my job...  time management.  It is very easy for me to get lost in designing an album or editing images from a wedding sometimes I look up and realize I have been working on the same thing all day just because I am having fun.  It's hard to balance my passion and business.  If not a photographer I would have been a graphic designer and/or copy writer.

Best advice I ever received...  This is a hard one, I have received so much great advice through the years from my parents, friends and mentors.  I can't name single piece of advice much less a distinctly quotable piece of advice.  Collectively the advice I have been given is to follow my heart, not be afraid of making mistakes (because it will happen eventually) and to be confident in myself and in my craft.

One thing you'll find in my refrigerator...  A stuffed monkey with magnets in my hands and feet --  he holds up pictures of my family.

What I love to splurge on...  lenses, pedicures and vacations.

2 parts vodka   and 5 parts bitter lemon soda and a lemon twist.  Stir and serve on the rocks

** If you don't like lemons and prefer limes then you must try a Southside

3 parts Gin, 1 part lime, 1 part simple syrup, and a mint leaf to garnish.  Shake and serve on the rocks!

For Mother's Day we had a little presentation at his daycare of making tortillas and salsa the Mexican way.  Very cute!

Mother's Day we will go to a high school play of Cinderella.  He loves music.  Just the two of us.

My gift will probably be a wake up kick in the stomach at 6 a.m. and big hugs!!!!!

The hardest aspect of my job…  Selling wedding photography when I don’t plan on ever getting married.

If not a photographer I would have been….  If I had the body for it...a stripper.  Since I don’t....History Teacher or perhaps Russian Mafia hit man.  Both have good hours and you get to interact with people.

Best advice I ever received… Sometimes you have to walk away from the deal!

**  Okay a long time ago I predicted Taylor Hicks would win American Idol.  I haven't said anything because I didn't want to jinx Mr.Taylor but guess who's still in the running...   now who should win?  Chris.  But as you all know "somehow" he was voted off the show.  I think something is fishy. I'm not even going to go into my long story about that moment he was kicked off.   Taylor is very unique and I like his style and I have predicted in the very beginning that he would win!

** Okay off to enjoy the weekend. New Day, New Finds

** What a great idea!  A magazine that is very intriguing.  They collect "found stuff" from postcards, to-do lists, telephone bills, doodles and more.  And now they have a magazine!  www.foundmagazine.com  When is the last time you found something?  I love the wording that follows each find.  Very creative. Reminds me of the one time I found a dollar bill in book from the bookstore that had doodling all over it, I read it all and then e-mailed them in Florida to say their dollar made it to Colorado.

** one of my favorite sites is www.keaggy.com/chairs/sad/20 A site dedicated to "sad chairs"   I think you photographers will enjoy this.  How many times have you been walking or driving and seen that "sad chair"  You never really think of it but maybe that chair really is sad. A very inspirational website. 

          ** Soy candles.  Why soy?  It is organic, non-toxic, has a longer burn time, it's so natural that you could eat it.  Soy is biodegradable and environmentally friendly.   Pomegranate candles at www.notneutral.com

BluDomain is having a bad day........  our local internet provider Comcast has been horrible today.  Slow as molassses.    And then one hosting server has decided to take a quick break.  They are resolving the issue now.  It's been short thus far so hopefully it will be only a "less than an hour issue"  Sorry to everyone who is experiencing this.   Sometimes it  just happens.

Anyway BluDomain has had a very long day and once the server issue is  resolved we are all packing up to go have margaritas and play some black jack at Mr. Harald's home. This may be the first Friday in a long time that we are all ready to RUN!  Haha.

Sometimes you have to leave your work behind and take a break.  So we will post some pictures of Mr.Harald tomorrow and "the empty bottle of tequila"
