This was taken last month (April) when I visited my father in Florida for his 80th birthday... my 3 sisters and I surprised him, flying in from Dallas and Denver. My nephew was taking his picture and my Dad in his usual form, made his "scary face".... notice his clenched hands. I like this photo because Dad has always seem to strike this pose when kids take his picture. I can remember him doing it when we would try to take his picture as kids. I like the way my Dad is out of focus, and Dane, my nephew, is in focus... I love his curls!!

My biggest pet peeve in my profession... is the reluctance to share with others their knowledge, tricks, techniques, etc. Sharing and teaching only raises the bar for the whole profession-it forces everyone to become even better and more creative!
The best way to learn more is to... invest in continuing education and surround yourself with other photographers just as passionate as you.
I'm inspired by... music, fashion & other photographers
Something that I find unique about my business is... that I can engage my whole person (my passions, creativity, drive, vision) into a profession that I love. The people you get to know along the way is so rewarding too.
Most of my day is spent... trying to quit my "day" job so I can do what I LOVE.

What do you like to do in your spare time... I love to watch live music, snowboard, read, exercise & spend time with my family.
What I must have... my wife and two boys.
What I need... humility.
A guilty pleasure of mine... I love to watch live music-I probably spend too much money on it :)
If I could have lunch with a famous female it would be... my wife Bethany, we could always have more lunches. It is so easy for me to get lost in my work that I need reminders of what/who is most important to me.
The perfect day would be...waking up knowing that a destination wedding is what I'll call my office for the day!
